During the month of November, we promote CPS Mass Adoption events and other opportunities for foster children to find homes. This supports funding requests by CPS through direct fund sponsorship or in-kind donations solicited by Friends of CWB for events during the month.
ABOUT ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH
Each year, November is recognized as National Adoption Awareness Month. While all adoption-related issues are important, the particular focus of this month is the adoption of children currently in foster care. The first major effort to promote awareness of the need for adoptive families for children in the foster care system came in 1976.
