Meghan Garza, M.P.A., M.B.A. currently serves as the President and CEO of CHR Partners, Inc. a national nonprofit organization developing affordable housing and providing critical support services. Over the last 5 years, Ms. Garza has increased the organizations portfolio by more than 200% and documented services to more than 15,000 individuals throughout the State of Texas. Before this, Ms. Garza served as AVP of Contract Management and Quality Assurance for Haven for Hope as well as many other roles. During her time at Haven, she was one of the instrumental staff involved in the creation of the Homeless and Housing Services Program in the State of Texas; the first homeless grant program to be funded with general revenue in the amount of $20M dollars.
In 2010, Mrs. Garza completed time with the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation; responsible for engaging and promoting public-private partnerships on a national level in an effort to serve our nation’s growing needs. Ms. Garza has brought this approach to a community driven/designed process to CHR Partners and has seen firsthand how “service enriched housing” can generate sustainability and self-sufficiency for families and communities.
Today, Mrs. Garza works with a number of nonprofits in the San Antonio community and was name the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2019 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the UTSA College of Public Policy and Trinity University’s Entrepreneurship Program. Most importantly, she is the proud mother of two beautiful boys, Jackson (8) and Maxwell (4).
