Meghan Garza, M.P.A., M.B.A. currently serves as the President and CEO of CHR Partners, Inc. a national nonprofit organization developing affordable housing and providing critical support services. Over the last 5 years, Ms. Garza has increased the organizations portfolio by more than 200% and documented services to more than 15,000 individuals throughout the State of Texas. Before this, Ms. Garza served as AVP of Contract Management and Quality Assurance for Haven for Hope as well as many other roles. During her time at Haven, she was one of the instrumental staff involved in the creation of the Homeless and Housing Services Program in the State of Texas; the first homeless grant program to be funded with general revenue in the amount of $20M dollars.
In 2010, Mrs. Garza completed time with the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation; responsible for engaging and promoting public-private partnerships on a national level in an effort to serve our nation’s growing needs. Ms. Garza has brought this approach to a community driven/designed process to CHR Partners and has seen firsthand how “service enriched housing” can generate sustainability and self-sufficiency for families and communities.
In 2019, Ms. Garza was named the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2019 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year. She currently is an Adjunct Professor in the Trinity University’s Entrepreneurship Program and for their Center for International Engagement. She is a course facilitator for the Bank of America Women’s Entrepreneurship Certification Program through ECornell out of New York. Finally in 2020, she was happy to participate in the creation of BexarAid, LLC. one of the first diagnostic companies devoted to slowing the spread of COVID-19 through asymptomatic testing. Most importantly, she is the proud mother of two beautiful boys, Jackson (10) and Maxwell (6).
